Fish might be in our name, but the chicken at Ideal Fish & Chips has a loyal following all of its own. At our chippy on Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove, it’s proper southern fried chicken done right — a whole golden breast for the seriously hungry, crisp nuggets for the kids (and anyone claiming they’re ‘just pinching one’), and tender strips made for dunking in garlic mayo or sweet chilli.
Like everything that leaves our counter, it’s cooked with care — we hold a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, and our chips are cut from Lincolnshire potatoes and fried in Frymax vegetable oil, so it’d be rude not to add a portion. We’re a short hop from Sidemoor, Catshill and Marlbrook, an easy stop on the way home — or order online for delivery, or collection that’s usually ready in around 10-15 minutes. Can I add chips to my chicken order?
Yes — every item in our chicken range gives you the option to add chips when you order online. And if you're after something to dip, small pots of garlic mayo, sweet chilli and BBQ sauce are on the menu too.
Do you deliver fried chicken in Bromsgrove?
We do. Delivery runs Monday to Saturday evenings, plus Friday and Saturday lunchtimes, with a £13 minimum order and a £2 delivery charge — usually with you in around an hour. Collection is quicker, at around 10-15 minutes.
Is there a chicken option for the kids?
Yes — the kids' menu includes a three-piece chicken nuggets and chips meal for £4.99, and every kids' meal comes with chips, a drink and a treat.
